The first few dates of death (10-1-3-11) spell JACK. Unfortunately the rest spell out QCURN. I figured that'd be too easy...

I think I'm barking up the wrong tree here, but after a quick look, here are the days of the week for the dates listed:

9/10/1850 - Tues
2/1/1867 - Fri
6/3/1860 - Sun
1/11/1855 - Thurs
1/17/1862 - Fri
9/3/1852 - Fri
9/21/1900 - Fri
11/18/1866 - Sun
10/14/1880 - Thurs

I figured we could use all the angles we could get.

EDIT: Also, I noticed we have 3 even numbered days and 6 days odd numbered...

5 of the odd numbers are prime numbers: 1,3,11,17,3 (21 isn't prime)
