It's actually just a standard markup for when flash is used on a webpage. Nothing hidden there Very Happy

That text was found inside the SWF that serves at the TEP Foundation's webpage. It was decoded by delusional696, which lead to a site find by Rowan.

And for those that don't want to decode the string and to make it searchable:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's base64:

Produced By SAIPets for TEP Foundation, Cust No. 456938, Prj No. 63254

It of course leads us to http://saipets.com

That text was found inside the SWF...

How was that found? Does it show real quick, or is swf file being opened in an editor of sorts?

I believe it was found using a flash decomplier. It's gotten to the point where PMs now know we reguarly go through the flash files looking for hidden clues. This little bit was great since a: they knew we'd have to find it that way and b: it's keeping in character with the real world (although I do wonder why an AI pet site is making flashes for the TEP. Maybe it's a side job?)

The registrant for the saipet site was Johnathan Reinhardt, also happens to be the Director of Information Systems for Orbicon. I'm wondering if Saipets is some subsidiary, or hidden branch of Orbicon? It's getting a bit tangly...

If I might ask.. I'm new to ARGs.. this is my first one with the exception of EA's ill-fated Majestic.. I'm tryign to put together a "toolbox" if you will.. where's can I get my hands on one of those flash decompilers you mentioned?

From the WHOIS:
>>Created On:14-Jun-2000 14:42:38 UTC<<

General question:
Can you falsify information as easily as that?
I've seen people dismiss pages as potentially ARG-related because of things like creation date...

As far as I know, the creation date cannot be falsified (I checked this with my own domain registrar), which means this is rather weird... it's probably a domain name that has been used for something else in the past?
