[PUZZLE?] Wongmo and cascadevortex line wrapping oddity I don't know if this is a puzzle, or an issue with however they created the pages on cascadevortex.
But here goes..
In http://wongmo.org/index.html
Quote:
Close your eyes and visualize dolphins splashing
in the gently rippling waves.
A warm breeze
blows the palms around you, bending
their
fronds gently. Your toes digging
deeply into
the hot, moist sand, you drink
it all in
like a pina colada in the desert.
There, isn't that relaxing? Don't
you feel
the tension slipping away from
you like sand
crabs at low tide?
I am Wongmo, your host and mentor
on a journey
of self-discovery. Through the
courses and
seminars I offer, you will find
yourself
immersed in the healing power
of self enrichment
and find yourself transported
to an island
of tranquility and self knowledge.
Many of
my ongoing courses are available
via internet
subscription or by postal mail
and my weekend
seminars, held several times
a year on the
Big Island, are the perfect way
to incorporate
my coconuts of knowledge into
the tree of
your day-to-day life.
At first I thought it was just a standard word wrap, then when I tested this theory I noticed (when you combine line 2 and 3)
Close your eyes and visualize dolphins splashing
in the gently rippling waves. A warm breeze
It shouldnt of wrapped..
Then I thought, well maybe it was wrapped because of the first sentence
ending, but that doesnt explain why this is like this:
A warm breeze
blows the palms around you, bending
their
Close your eyes and visualize dolphins splashing
(and for reference on width)
That formatting suggests to me that maybe there is something deeper in the messages.. Any ideas or comments?

It could just be Wongmo trying to be poetical...

It's just your screen size or desktop formatting. The text word wraps nicely on my browser for both websites.

Hmm, the source is a bit odd.

If you take the first line and every sixth line after that you get
Close your eyes and visualize dolphins splashing
deeply into
you feel
on a journey
of self enrichment
via internet
to incorporate
If you Start with "on a journey" and do every fourth line;
on a journey
yourself
to an island
via internet
a year on the
the tree of
But a different pattern might make even more sense.

Well, I printed that out and spent half an hour or so throwing darts at it last night, but all I got wash gibberish...
I'm not 100%, but you could be onto something there Marl... like that last one you had was very Wongmo, but very Matrix.
Mind you, like the Tarot, we could be reading too much into it...

The big thing that drew my attention there was the island thing: on a journey to an island... Mykonos is an island... whats on Mykonos? The Aquapolis!
God, my brain is starting to hurt...

It just occurred to me that trhis thread is about two sites and so far I've only looked at one of them, so for completeness...
http://www.cascadevortex.com/index.html
The source starts off pretty normal (apart from the double spacing);
Code:
<P class="norm"><FONT size="+1"><BR>
<BR>
Welcome to the Cascade Vortex. Your presence
here is already affected. The very air you
breathe, the forces holding you to the earth;
they are changed. Gravity is weakened, and
somehow, your world is changed. Will you
meet the challenge and mystery of this place?
Stay for a while, try to understand the beauty
and knowledge of this exciting deviation
from the norm. Can you feel your senses being
altered, your ears pricking up at the sensation
that something is not quite as balanced as
it was one minute ago? </FONT><BR>
<BR>
But then it starts doing what we've seen on Wongmo;
Code:
<FONT size="+1">
What most visitors to this very location
notice during the drive up is that
the feeling
of cool and rain and vibrant trees
gives
way to a chill that seeps into the
bones.
The green of the trees seems leeched
out,
dampened and flattened. The Cascade
Vortex
is a twisting, teeming mystery. Visitors
will feel the pull, the absolute enigma
of
this place as far away as two miles
from
the Vortex epicenter. </FONT><BR>
<BR>
<FONT size="+1">
Do you like the rules of nature? Forget
all
of them as you work your way closer
to the
Vortex. Physics is an ersatz resident
of
the Cascade Vortex - guests of the
site report
feeling gravity change for them. There
is
a sense of buoyancy and instability,
walking
outwards from the main building, and
then
the feet and limbs grow heavier, downward
pull restored. </FONT><BR>
<BR>
<FONT size="+1">
Perhaps this place is a gateway to
another
dimension. It has been nature's way
for eons
to make a doorway into a new age, an
evolution
into a new species, a weakening of
one link
in the chain to forge new worlds. The
Cascade
Vortex might be just such a place.
Theories
abound as to whether the Vortex is
waxing
or waning in power. The Vortex is currently
safe for all humans, a wonderful afternoon
with family, to explore the curiosity
of
semi-weightlessness, the disorientation
of
electro-magnetic disturbances and neutralization
of local weather.</FONT><br />
Sorry nothing new to add.
(Wonder if they combine well)

I've tried putting em together a couple different ways, but nothing really popped out as a hidden message.. :-/ maybe its just a random oddity like the zone alarm tag in liephe.net/partners.html (been there since at least the 9th, and survived the update on the 18th)
I hope it is a hidden message though ;) I will mess with it some more later..

I kind of surprised that nobody has mentioned this, and usually when I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned something it turns out that they have in another thread, but here goes anyway...
The only other reason I can think of to have the text formatted that way is that there's some significance to the first letter of every line.
Here's the first letters of Wongmo poems...

Unscramble, anyone?

I didn't actually go through and count; I wrote a short perl script to do it. And if it wasn't important, why would it be wrapped like that?
