Nothing seems to suggest anything out of the ordinary except that its registered to somewhere in arizona when the posters are in canada mostly. Although I think it's an eon8 clone.

If anyone is or knows a law enforcement officer, they could always start an informal investigation, and use this link and get in contact with the general manager to get the domain registry name. Once we have that, we could delve deeper.

It looks like the poster is about the size of a Ledger piece of paper (11x17)... and it's printed black and white, which means it could be run fairly cheap on a B&W copier. From my copyshop days, I want to say that a Ledger size B&W was around US$0.11, but it got cheaper per copy with greater quantity. So, while a good budget would be needed to print the posters, it likely isn't tons and tons of money.

yes, but on top of that somebody mentioned seeing this on a billboard over the freeway. A spot like that would cost a pretty penny

maybe we should forumalate a list of all the places where these posters have been spotted, maybe that's a sort of trend...
