Number rubbed off - no reply from cards@perplexcity.com Just wondered if anyone else is receiving replies to queries sent to cardsSPLAT perplexcity.com?
I've got a copy of #233 (The Earth's Destiny), but due to either a manufacturing fault, or my own cack-handed-ness, half the number rubbed off along with the silver covering.
To see where I stood, I sent an email to cardsSPLAT perplexcity.com... then another 12 days later, then another 7 days after that. Problem is that I'm not even getting an answer along the lines of "tough... use a coin that hasn't been sharpened"... so I'm wondering if I'm asking the right people? (Spam filter checked!)
Anyone else had a similar problem with the cards and/or the cards@perplexcity email, or is it just me having my email eaten?
Thanks,
Grimey

They're just ignoring my emails as well. I earned my blue leitmark 4 months ago (I think) and they sent me a red one, so i told them and they said they'd put another one in the mail, but clearly they hadn't.
And I've sent a further 3 emails in the last month about it, and they've just ignored me.
I used to think the customer service was really good at MC, but now I just feel ignored.

I had a green card, the one with the rice I scratched fo some of the number and could not get it. Luckly I had plenty of doublers.
however with a silver its a bit more serious.
Surprised they have not replied to your email. Suppose you could post on their forums and se if you can get a reply.

Try GuySPLAT Mindcandydesign.com (I think). He deals with these things rather well.

I accidentally removed the number from Relativity 245 (before I knew they had stopped printing them ...) in mid-July. I emailed the cards@ link and I got a response promptly. I mailed the card back with the code attached, and got my replacement copy within a few days (phew!).
Someone said it before, but it bears repeating: a standard pencil top eraser works wonders, especially on silvers.

I have a yellow card somewhere, which when i scratched off the silver 'stuff' there was no serial number at all underneath. I didnt scratch off the number, as i took much care while scratching, and there is absolutely no sign of any black remaining at all, just pure white. Best i can figure, is 2 cards got stuck together during printing so only 1 got a number printed on. Anyway, i had another copy so it didnt bother me, and it was only a yellow. Id be very unhappy if sumthin like this happened for a silver though!

Yeah, I had a green card with no code. As it was about my 4th copy of the card, I was not concerned.

Just curious - If it was your 4th copy, why did you scratch the panel off???

Thanks for everyone's suggestions... I've raided the stationery cupboard for pencil erasers. As yet, no reply from Guy or Cards@ - but, on a positive note, I just got two Leitmarks that I've been due for ages. So... perhaps... they've just got a mammoth backlog to work through. Not that a note on their website to that effect would go amiss!

Result! Guy (via supportSPLAT perplexcity.com) got back to me with instructions for replacement, and a nice apology for the time it's taken.
