I added a comment reporting what we've got so far with the first translation. I figure if Hank knows we're making progress, he might encouraged to post some more recordings. Worth a shot, anyway.

Yeah, I noticed that right after I posted it, but I didn't think it was worth another comment. I did correct it in my tentative translation in the lexicon thread. Of course, if you think it's important, feel free to post it on Hank's blog as an amendment to my comment(s).

naw. it's probably not a big deal. and doesn't really help with the translation much.

Hank posted a new comment on his latest blog post:

I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your hard work. That's definitely
more than I was able translate. We're getting closer I can feel it.

Trust
It's come to my attention, John is suceeding at well...being John. I appreciate all the help I'm getting. I'm not scared as easily as he is (yes scared, John). I've seen too much in my life to believe the world is black and white. Besides, I have to trust those responding have the best of intentions. All of my correspondences, for the most part, have been very kind and helpful. Now don't get me wrong, I won't take any improper advances towards my daughter. Any such advances will be met with a wrath never seen before in the history of man.
Other than the unfortunate young man he harrassed, John told me he was setting up a place for us to have a meeting and chat about our progress so far. I or John will let you know when it is complete.
Might be an apology for this conversation:

I'd like to thank everyone for the chat tonight. I hope Bryan contacts me again soon.
I've sent this new recording to him as well as the other email requesting more of an explanation.

I think between the practice and the lack of background noise I'm getting better at this transcribing thing. I've sent the text below off to yshk Lanti for corrections, but I'm pretty confident about that last line at least.
Quote:
si geeht si chantsa ruk etekile p kale
e suchu ke tkile p kale
sha ny mdia su ryg jahe ni nebezigh isk nakovea dei.
elekian i kracilur di sundaj kitoel taj i kek!
ny lan feh, feh ti ja he ki akan.
gharale dei rabin du asun dat teyailn
yshk Lanti, yshk La, yshk Gai.

I don't have sound on this terminal, but based on our lexicon so far, I think I can make a few amendments:
From understanding.jpg, there's a word that looks like "ikwk", so maybe that's what you have as "i kek"?
Also, could what you have as "gharale" possibly be "guakala" (continue)? I can't listen to it, so I don't know how plausible that is.
Couplre more: could "su ryg" by "srk" (you) and could "isk" be "yshk"? I recall that's how it sounds when pronounced in the last line.
EDIT: Since no one's in my lab right now, I fired it up on my laptop, and I think I have a couple more.
I think sundaj should be "shundaj", and I think that's on the last line as well. That is, I think "asun dat" should be "e shundaj".
Also, I think you're right that the first word of the last line definitely has an "r" sound in it, so I'll unamend that.
EDIT AGAIN: So what if "gharale dei" is really "ghyra aladi"? That would be "we have."
So with my amendments (all of which are speculations), the passage might be:
Quote:
si geeht si chantsa ruk etekile p kale
e suchu ke tkile p kale
sha ny mdia srk jahe ny nebezigh yshk nakovea dei.
elekian i kracilur di shundaj kitoel taj ikwk!
ny lan feh, feh ti ja he ki akan.
ghyra aladi rabin du a shundaj teyailn
yshk Lanti, yshk La, yshk Gai.

What I wrote as "isk" definitely sounds different than the "yshk"s in the last line. Other than all the changes you suggest sound good. And listening again I'm thinking the 2nd line is more like "e sunj ruk e tkile p kale"
