Sin't this a breach of TOS?

i think its okay to post a trailhead, as long as they then go away and leave it at that.

Well, it used to be -- I believe -- that you could post a trailhead, but nothing more.
Bad form, but accepted.
However, the Terms of Service make it sound like any PM posting is forbidden during a game. Admins, clarification?

It seemed okay on Sunday . Not sure what would've changed.
Also, I think this was discussed a little on the recent ARGNet podcast, and I didn't hear any complaints other than it being bad form.

Right, I know that that seems to have been the unofficial policy for a while. I'm just wondering if it's the *official* unofficial policy.

The thing is that this guy is actually in character while posting. I don't think that's allowed.

after further consideration, i'm not sure that's a trailhead anyway.
it's a long-existing site, by all appearances, just a "suspicious-lookng" entry page to http://www.truthofthespoon.net
edit: sorry, thats the link on the tag. that entry page rolls into http://www.truthofthespoon.net/mainframe.htm

Sounds like some weird cult to me. I think this guy is not trying to spread a ARG, but to convert us....

My guess is that this is someones own "alternate reality".
Not a game, just a living piece of fiction.
And if not, this person has some serious psychological disorders, and I wouldn't recommend playing along and reinforcing the validity of their delusions.
If this person is Neo the uber 1337 h4ckz0r, couldn't he/she design a better website........

Barcode the barcode on the page linked above states "There are other worlds than these" That is a quote from a Steven King Series of books Titled "the Dark Tower." The charater that says that saying is a boy named Jake. He has whats called "the Touch" A kind of psychic ability that was also refered to in another one of Kings books "The Shining"

OK... wow... I'm a bit worried. At first I thought this was an ARG, cause of the whole discovering websites and things... but what if, for once, TiNAG?
That soulbonding thing quite frankly scares me. A lot. There are people out there who believe their souls are bonded to fictional characters?!
From that soulbonding livejournal community:
Quote:
Does anyone here happen to bond with anyone from the "Angel" or "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" verses?
With all the nightmares I've been having, not to mention flashbacks, I would really love to talk to someone from home, ya know?
*hugs community tight*
Thanks guys,
Connor
That scares me even more than tonight's episode of Supernatural (which rocked, by the way.)
Anyway, still exploring the spoon site... I'll report back if I find anything.

This person actually feels he is living his life as Neo, and he's got a friend who feels she *is* Trinity. Wow. Um... I'm praying this is an ARG. And I'm kind of scared to keep going.

I'm just going to step back and say not to humor this guy's fantasies. Notify your local Asylum and walk away. This isn't something you want to get involved in.

well, seems to me that if this is an actual, traditional ARG, it's got us all convinced completely. We all think this guy actually, really, truly DOES believe he's Neo. If it's an ARG, that's exactly what they wanted. If not... then god help him.

After seeing this , I'm pretty convinced this is not an ARG (or, at least, it'd better not be, :O MG), which makes it either spam or Various & Sundry at best. I think I'd vote for spam
