I'm kind of hoping this becomes more Net-based. This mailing things in may account for the small number of players.

I mean, it's different, which I like, but the "We solved it! Now we wait a week!" thing kind of... bites.

Well as long as I don't receive all of them, I'm happy Smile

I just did a letter because I didn't feel like sending a 3x5 index card through the mail. I don't have any postcards. I'll probably stick with the letter and envelope method because it means I have room to sneak in questions.

I just folded up a sheet of blank paper, same as they've been doing. :p I'll stop by the PO after work to send it off.

I can't say I mind the slow pace of this one. Anyway, getting things in the mail is just cool. xD

Our friends sent us another clue for our now-solved puzzle. I'm attaching it here mostly for the drawing in the lower-left corner. (The black line is from my scanner... ignore it!):

i love it. it says "We hope you dummies got it already, but if not, HERES THE ANSWER"

My response is sitting in the mailbox waiting to go out to them.
trifolded paper, taped shut, just like they keep subjecting us to.

Maybe they are representing themselves as the wise owl, and us as the slow slow turtle?
hehe.

Sent my response out wednesday night, on a pretty little card I decorated all by myself. Very Happy

Re: ready to go

Got a new package. Pictures and comments follow (as usual, click images to see larger):

Package

Package contents (two items wrapped in paper as per usual, one of them is thick)

White envelope and paper it contained.

Inside white envelope (white envelope was blank). The black line from top to bottom on the right is a scanner problem. Just ignore it.

Inside thick, gray envelope. A nicely framed drawing of a boot.

And, of course, I opened the frame:

In the frame are two seperate sheets of paper, the boot drawing, and a piece of paper with this (again, ignore black line on the right):

A very nice, detailed drawing of a boot. This is NOT a copy. It was hand-drawn with pencil. Someone is talented.

Unfortunately, I thought I saw impressions at the bottom of the drawing, and so I pencil shaded them (I HATED to do anything to this drawing). I didn't get much out of it. It looks a lot like the writing on the other sheet of paper above, but it's VERY hard to make out. See below. I can't make anything more clearly than what you can see here:

Anyway, I think I can get all of the shading erased. I actually have somewhere in my house I want to hang this!

Answer to the dot puzzle:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
WHICH PERSONAGE IS THE MOST RIVETING
YOUR ANSWER TO THIS QUERY IN YOUR JUDGEMENT

But you might double-check me.

That's what I got too, and I think my answer would have to be Levi Strauss. *But I guess that could change, depending on other information that others might receive.

Oh yeah

Now this is what I'm talking about! I have an idea for the unsolved puzzle. I'm downloading some software I haven't put on this (new, to me) computer yet so that I can test out my theory.

In short, count me in!

Edit: I rotated the image. Then I duplicated the image and moved one copy up, as it looked like some of these things would form letters. In most of them (especially the bottom row) it looks like I was right. Some are still troublesome, however. This is as close as I can come to a transcription:

Z?ES?YN?C
LERIKUELS

Note that the three question marks all represent the same character, which is similar to something (mathematical symbol?) that I've seen before, but not a letter. I believe that the somewhat rugged nature of some of these letters are because they were hand drawn and they seem to line up surprisingly well for being so done.

Edit 2: The second version can be transcribed as such:

TOESOYNOC
CERIKOE(L/C)S

Edit 3: That last row now looks more likely to be LERIKUELS. Someone else needs to jump in on this so I can quit editing my own post. Razz
