The etymology of DEADLINE from wordorigins.org:

The sense meaning a line around a prison where the prisoner's will be shot if they cross it, comes from the 1860s and prison camps during the American Civil War. The angling sense dates to 1860 or perhaps a bit earlier. These may or may not have had an influence on the newspaper term.

Anyway, can anyone decode the braille update on tourbit?

You were looking at 1 still. The source is still the same.

According to Dr.Seuss, the letter after Z (or #40) is YUZZ. I don't believe Y F YUZZ CHURCHILL is anything.

A quote to mention from the book was this:

"Because Z is as far as the alphabet goes."

Beginning sounds like the Churchill quote.

 		After asking Alfred if the away message related to the speech Churchill made on November 10 1942, he responded with Yes.

He then signed out and back in, with the new away message, "Did you read the news today?"
