I think the pics are excellent evidence that the woman is about to explode. Maybe a contaminant from an attack causes this. Or it might be possible that the military is using some sort of chemical or biochemical agent as a weapon against the monster(s) and are just dealing with the fallout from that.

That's going to be one creepy scene. Marlena definitely explodes. Maybe a smaller monster emerges from her stomach? Maybe the Hazmat guys have seen this before so they're trying to contain her or stand guard to shoot the little fucker as he emerges?
This is getting good...

i guarentee they've seen this before, if you watch this part in the trailer watch the guy at the desk in front of the triage unit, he is unaffected by the world... he's seen this thing all night.

Exactly, Matt. He's oblivious to the whole thing. Almost like he doesn't WANT to look and is focusing hard on his task because he knows exactly what gruesome event is taking place back there.

So based on your catch here slusho lover - do we have two different women suffering from bloat that deflatine can't cure, or are the shots of Marlena between two hazmat guys independant of the silhouette between two hazmats?
And as a modly aside (erm rant? No, too strong - ranticle), this sort of discussion is much easier if one or two threads are spawned as a result of a new trailer (it is afterall, just the one trailer ) and all the chat takes place within them, with perhaps a few ancillary threads from earlier resurrected to examine their topics in light of the new information.

Im still not convinced shes exploding.
Im still thinking along the lines of them wrapping her in something, or cleaning her.

Actually, to me the sounds during the sequence makes me think that the guy on the right stabs her with a drill or handheld circular saw or something.

I Totally agree! There is a drilling sound during that whole sequence and you can hear it over the screaming even before the screaming begins.

Two observations:
1) In the pic of Marlena bleeding from her eyes and nose and mouth (yecch), notice that her whole upper chest seems to be covered with spidery veins. Definitely continues to bolster the whole Exploding Lena thing.
2) So the gubmint types are wearing hazmats, but why aren't the soldiers? Completely unprotected. Have they received some sort of vaccine beforehand? Or do the guys in the hazmat suits just not give a damn about the troops?

I've said it before...
Soldiers when they sign up agree to some very high risks, often unprotected, and hand over themselves as property of the government. Soldiers are assets, and some may have to be considered expendable.
That's why service is a sacrifice, and when you sign up you never know how great that sacrifice might be.

Looks more like her boobles are sploding. But they don't stop at double d - Something in her chest? I am leaning more and more for the fanart image of the whaleisopodsquidlymanster thingy.

I do not necessarily agree with that statement completely. If HAZMAT is required the troops would also be protected. Also, notice the 'doctor behind the screen, with a stethascope looking over the guy on the litter with the broken arm and leg. Those two are also not protected and they both appear to be civilians. Remember ET? They also allowed the civilians to wander around in the "quarenteened areas" without protection.
Maybe, what ever they are injecting her with has to be handled with HAZMAT suits?

Or even "Outbreak" -- the soldiers brought their own hazmat suits, too.
(Jeez, I can't believe we're actually trying to look to Hollywood for authenticity... )

I disagree. Sun Tzu being the basis for much modern warfare and it's against those principles. Also, being cynical and talking economics, a soldiers life (and their training) is vastly more expensive than any protective equipment. Of course, these are movie soldiers - cheap as chips
