So...

I wrote down all the down? I wrote down all the codes down? Shouldn't it be "Kay, I wrote down all the (what I think are) codes"? Or "Kay, I wroted all the (what I think are) codes down"?

So I"m coming in in the middle (damn this RL) - this would be the translation of the series of codes?

Or do we simply have the series of letter/number combos in order to translate something elsewhere?

It's possible, though I doubt it.

On a slightly related note, there is no nobodySPLATanonymousfame.com

Other messages in the text

There are at least two sentences in the fake filler text. Without going through it systematically (I'll update when I have a chance to do this) I found these sentences in a sort of hybrid/phonetic language:

in the "News" section:
Is est non ut simplex ut vos reputo.
(It's not as simple as thought?)

and, in the "Privacy" section:
Quis have vos instituo eatenus?
(Why have you institutionalized us/me?)

I don't know Latin, so if you have a better translation, speak up. Smile

Great find! Your translation does just fine, considering it's bastardized Latin.

edit: Second look, quis is what... Assuming have is have, What have I instituted thus far?

any thoughts on how Dale can ask questions and make statements like this on the web when he's supposed to be institutionalized?

I wonder if Bruce would like to know about this? Wink
I'll drop him a letter.

Brandon - that would make a huge difference if the writer is not asking about himself... Thanks!

Okay... it seems to be latin with english word order. Using that concept, Quis have vos instituo eatenus becomes What have you (instituted, found, established) up to now?

Sorry, my Latin is rusty.

The reason that it's Latin with English word order, of course, is that the PM used an English to Latin translator instead of properly translating it himself.

Latin sentence

Here is what I think it says, i used a demo of QuickLatin:

Quis have vos instituo eatenus?

Quis: means who/what/where/how, depending on context
have: anxious/eager/wish for/excited
vos: you
instituo: establish/build/set up
eatenus: so far

The simplest sense, to me, seems like:
"How excited are you with the setup so far?"

Being as we found this page the first day of play...
