It would still be pretty interesting if for some reason they released it somewhere else than the US first, but you're right, it makes sense then.
Like in the UK, January 17th?
btw, can anyone translate the synopses from spanish?
Or in New Zealand and Australia, January 17th? (I didn't think the UK was getting it then - I thought they were getting it in February, or so I've read elsewhere on this forum.)
The title Monstruoso reminds me of the title of Shaun of the Dead in Spanish, which translates to Zombies Party. Ahh, I love the Spanish.

Australia gets it a day before the US does.

"The night on which five young New Yorkers throw a going away party for a friend, a monster the size of a skyscraper arrives at the city. Told from the point of view of a videocamera, the movie is a documentary of their attempt to survive during the most incredible and terrifying moments of their lives."
I just noticed something: "...attempt to survive..." Doesn't using "attempt" imply failure?

Not necessarily. But the way that it's used in the text implies that they did not make it.
What really catches my eye in the LA site is "desciende", in spanish that means that it comes from the sky, literally. Maybe it's just a careless translation. In the spanish site instead, they use "llega" = arrives.
And it's not a "documentary" it's more like "record"
... the movie records their attempt to...
I really don't see the point of making 2 different sites.
Anyways, there's nothing to see here. Is what we already know.
Nighthawk translation is very accurate.

Thanks so much for posting these links and for the translations. Seeing the marketing/ promotion in other countries is very interesting.
