"The human body is based on Phi and the number 5.The number 5 appendages to the torso, in the arms, leg and head. 5 appendages on each of these, in the fingers and toes and 5 openings on the face.The human body illustrates the Golden Section or Divine Proportion..."

Parts of the site = the 5 appendages.
(and as Chris said Cages page = ribcage / torso)

Also easy access by Chris for anyone to take a gander at: http://www.s-m-i-l-e.co.uk/code.txt

And might as well http://milan.milanovic.org/math/english/golden/golden2.html

I sent an email to him, and got this in return.

"What do you know of symmetry as it applies to the Golden Section? Are you
in control of your thoughts?"

Any ideas?

No problem, bluemouse, thanks. I was a bit late this week.

To recap: bluemouse and STP found that Morcar is the brother of Edwin (4C in SL, and the Earl of Mercia in RL) and is referred to by the mouse in AIL.

Mirror text concerns truth etc., and does not appear to be a quotation.

Image alternate text appears to be backwards body parts (bones, in fact) - numretS, muinarC etc.

And to add: the 3 after 1 bit made me think of pi - 3.1415926...

Any ideas on the computer code (thank you Chris)?

Every other line contains the only alphabetic characters N, E, X and T. The only other characters are 0-9 and punctuation - &()@!&*:[]{?%

The string is 175 characters long, broken into seven lines of 25 characters.

Some of us suspect it's like the all the "next"s are like the STOP in morse code, as a break between lines of a message.

If we're going for the morse code theory, then we can consider the puntuation there merely to throw us off (or deter others from attempting to solve it).

You end up with long strings of numbers (followed by the 'NEXT's).

Anyone else able to see something that maybe I'm simply not seeing?

The las line could be his assinature (four of clubs)

Quote:
26876213695
Four of clubs

2=f
6=o
8=u
7=r
6=o
2=f
1=c
3=l
6=u
9=b
5=s

The only thing it is worg is the number 6 (as you see it can be "o" or "u")

Good spot! Pity it doesn't quite work. It had me going on a phone keypad tangent for a bit as four would be 3687 on that (rather than 2687), but no joy.

The background suggests some sort of space/planetary theme, and the text refers to clues being found where many claim there are only ghosts. Not sure what that means. Ghosts in the machine?

The distribution of digits is fairly even, except there aren't that many 2s and there are most 4s. There is only one or two of each punctuation mark. There are actually 26 different characters, but I doubt they translate to letters that simply, given the distribution.

I donīt know if there is something to do with this, but I found this book "The Universe and the Teacup: The Mathematics of Truth and Beauty", from K.C. Cole.

(amazon link)

It is about how math can be art too. Very interesting.

Ooo, this might help us.

Here was my letter to Edwin this morning:

Quote:
Edwin, your System Error confounds me. I'm wondering what pattern you could possibly be seeing there (besides the 'NEXT' text sprinkled within). Never fear, I'll find a solution for you.

In the meantime, please give the Queen my regards.

-- Clementine

And here is his response:

Quote:
Sometimes, when I am stumped by something I remind myself of Ockham's Razor. This allows me to pull back and get a fresh perspective. This surely applies to the Green Screen Error.

Many questions asked by the passengers have been on the right track. In
particular, a gentleman was quite observant regarding my chosen signature. I assure you...no detail was wasted.

Might I also suggest the film I referenced? While it's not really my kind
of fare, I feel a certain element of it will shed some light.

So I'm assuming he's referring to the Club suit to the fourth power (on the backwards letter, after his signature)? Interesting.

Also, what film is he talking about? The 'ghost' thing? I think I've missed that detail entirely.

Hope this jogs someone's mind! (I'm so stumped .. haha).

I think he is referring to the movie Red Dragon. Lector tells the serial killer, the Dragon that he is beautiful. He quoted t in the grey room.

Ah yes! I'd almost forgotten!

Thaaaank you.

.. and on that note, the only 'code' to be found in Red Dragon was how Hannibal and Dolarhyde communicated -- through the placement of words in a certain book by giving numbers (page, paragraph, line, etc). to count to their location.

Which I don't think is going to help us here. Guh.
