According to this site
http://www.capitolium.org/eng/ludi/frasi.htm(not in game),
the"hoc voluerunt" on the coat of arms at the history page means "They got what they deserved" .

voluerunt is perfect active tense, 3rd person plural of velle, To Wish, thus "They have wished"

Hoc translates to This. With no antecedent, we can assume a neuter gender. That means its nominative, ablative, or accusative case. Im guessing ablative (edit: I meant accusative here), and this is functioning as a direct object. So, we get:

They have wished (for) this.

Of course, the PMs have shown a lack of extensive Latin knowledge already, so take it as you will.

Whats the deal with the floorplan? I can't seem to get the ouijii doohicky to do anything. Also does the floor plan look like the blurry document in the trailers?

SPEC:

There was mention of a police report on the accident at the press conference, and it was said it will be made availiable when it is official. I think we need to look for any mention of tire/skid marks at the scene. Maybe it's just from watching too much CSI but I'm thinking you should be able to determine the type of tire that left the mark....the tred and rubber must be tracable to a specific modle and brand....and we may be led to a vehicle using EuroTire brand tires......

Mayor letter

Great SPEC, Kingohugs! I am planning on sending this to the mayor. Are there any objections?

Quote:
Dear Sir:

First of all, I'd like to thank you for an excellent press conference today. I believe some valuable information was released. Hopefully, the mystery behind Mr. Sprague and his family's accident will be resolved soon.

Secondly, I wanted to let you know that I have been doing some research regarding the rumored third vehicle in the accident, which was supposedly a construction truck. I found out that the "Sons of Don" construction company, which did construction work on your town's library, uses tires from a company known as Eurotire. This company mainly makes tires for European vehicles, so in a small town in New Jersey, these tires are a rare find indeed. I was wondering if you would be able to contact whomever might be conducting the investigation into this accident and ask them to analyze the treads and rubber content of the skidmarks (if there are any to be found) of the rumored third vehicle. If they do happen to be from the Eurotire company, this evidence may prove very important in your investigation

Thank you for your time.

Looks good to me. And may get us on the mayor and police department's good sides.

however, it may also get us on the Brother's bad sides....AND if they've paid off the mayor and/or police...well then.....[/quote]

/me hires a bodyguard to avoid being whacked. Wink

Seriously, though, I don't think it'll be a problem. The brothers don't even know who I am, so I doubt they'll be too pissed. If they've paid off the government, the worst that could happen is that we don't get any information, which is what I'm expecting anyway... Smile

I just wonder if it makes more sense to SEE the report, and see if it looks like it's been edited to have mention of the tires removed....

Which I guess we can do if we send this first too...

The coat of arms on the family history page looks an awful lot like the shield in front of the suit of armor at Ash Grove Park (picture below).

I 'googled' the motto, and while Price may have the grammar correct, the phrase as it stands is known as a famous quote from Julius Caesar...they wished this.

good spec

I missed the genesis of it, but I like that someone suggested that we know the name of Eurotire not for its website, but so that it can be linked to the accident site tire marks.

Great! Exclamation

(Apologies to whomever came up with this for being able to give them the credit. I'll edit it in as soon as I know.)
