Regarding the characters, I think it would be prudent to review the content of this thread, from the first part of this game, before the hiatus. Since Songwraith has not removed the original videos from his YouTube account, I think we can assume it's still relevant.

If I recall, the story being told was of a pregnant woman who was hanged as a witch. Her child was then cut out of her womb and drowned. These would appear to be the Hanged Bride and the Pride. The Jury is probably the actual jury who convicted her of witchcraft, I think there was some reference to them. Presumably the Prison City might be the whole town where this incident took place. The Founder seems to be a new character, though.

So I've been looking into a number of things here... Played around with Google maps for hours but couldn't pin down one place as the prison city. I'll do a bit more work with that later.

Tarq's also got some great ideas but I'd have to say that I doubt we'll find anything in the movie "Eyes Without A Face". I watched it and can give someone a torrent link to get it but I didn't see anything at all to do with Songwraith's clues in it. I also think that the first movie being named after it may simply be incidental as both videos had a name that references a mid 80s song.

Also, Pavoreax, If you'd like something translated from French send me a link or copy. I have a good friend who speaks fluent French.

evanly, you may be right as the sound of the gulls does suggest the shore. That might help pin down our location, too. I changed it to reflect your suggestion.

First off I want to say hi to everyone. New guy here to ARG's this being my first attempt.

Ok, 2 things here.

1. Did anyone notice the Sonar sound right at the point where he says "Amotherless daughter is a vessel of vengence"

2. Earlier this had me thinking about a possible link to the Salem Witch Trials. Heres why, There is a hanged woman (most of the witches were hung). also somebody posted earlier in the thread that the "Prison City" was possibly in Mass. Also the name Faust appears. In the story Faust makes his deal with the devil (Witches in Salem supposedly made deals with the devil as well.)

I am doing some research on the trials to see if there is any connection at all. Hope this helps.

After watching the video a couple times I noticed that in the first picture only the black lines move at all. The background doesn't move at all. Also, the background appears to be clouds and in the upper left corner is what appears to be a full moon. The shape of the clouds matches the drawing superimposed over them perfectly and just before the video changes to the next scene the clouds and image line up.

Also if there's anyone on here who could tell me how to get a video off youtube so I can run through some of these frame by frame. Also if you know how to take a screen cap I'd be much appreciative because I'm fairly sure I found a face inside the eyes of the skulls in the second movie and would like to share it.

There was an extremely popular opera based on the story of Faust (specifically the play, Faust et Marguerite) by Charles Gounod. It was written in French and became a hit after playing in Paris. In the story, Faust is fed up with his "wasted" life and tries to kill himself. Mephistopheles intervenes when he begs for infernal guidance, and the infamous soul-selling deal is made. He later meets Marguerite, and with the help of Mephistopheles, he seduces and impregnates her. Faust then abandons her. She gives birth to her child (somewhere here the child does, I'm not sure how) and she ends up condemned by her brother to Hell. In Act 5 Faust and Mephistopheles are "surrounded by witches" and Faust wants to be taken to the "prison cell" where Marguerite is being held in Hell, awaiting judgement for "killing her child". Mephistopheles offers to save her from the hangman, but she refuses, trusting her soul to God. As she meets her death a chorus of angels announces she has been saved.

EDIT: one other interesting fact - the Massachusetts Correctional Institution is in Walpole, MA - a bit to the southwest of Boston and the northwest of Plymouth, but reasonably close to both. Apparently there are quite a number of prisons in Massachusetts.

So here are the screen caps I found. There actually seem to be two faces, one in each eye, of every skull. One appears to be male and one female. And thank you every one that helped me get a handle on how to grab these videos and do screen caps of them.
