Seems I'll have to figure out what this "Room" is to catch up with you guys.
I'll probably scan the thread/wiki of this. I did a little bit last night, but I wasn't really looking for anything.

Our mag locks at work still disengage if operated from the inside during a power outage. They're on a UPS. Once the UPS power is gone (And if for some reason, the generator were to fail), they'd eventually all unlatch.

That said, most of those doors work on the same capacitive variation switching that a touch lamp uses. It's a simple matter to thread a standard lacquered coat hanger through the crack between the doors and touch the "bar" that disengages the latch. I snicker at people trying to open these doors with their butt and it won't budge.

But don't try this at home, kiddies.

You're lucky then. We had thirty programmers trapped until the programmer affectionately known as "Sumo" barreled through the door with enough strength to overpower the mag lock and separate the plates.

New blogpost from Eu. He will try the firealarm trick.

Subject of this blog "What to look for?". Subject before: "What am I looking for?"

So anyone has an idea for what to look for?

Another update on the blog.
Eu went into the room and took a box with a pocket watch and an inscription running in a spiral

I'm thinking that
Code:
aevoqeelcmeuusxecfrraridiiltrattdeoeenswelaemdfinddnioactofslmie

Is probably a Transposition (Spiral) Cipher... But, I'm not sure what the key would be...

I've tried it w/ the numbers you guys have come across and not actually placed anywhere yet, to no avail.

It is a columnar transposition (Just add a carriage return every 8 letters and read top to bottom.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
accident em field overload fourteen square miles random exits failed twice

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"em field overload" my guess would be that that's "electromagnetic field overload" so they accidentally overloaded the electromagnetic field over a 14 sq mi area. And now they've tried twice but can't leave? Maybe they mean that they've tried twice to wormhole, or "bridge" as they seem to be calling it, out of there but can't because of the overload.

So, do we tell this to Daniel now or wait to see if he gives us more to make more out of it?

I think this must be the part of the message he was looking for. We know he has the Voynich part, maybe we offer to trade it or at least offer to help see how it fits with his part.

OK, so I figured I'd ask Daniel if he had a secure way we could contact him so we're not posting the answer on the blog for the world to see. Waiting on a response.

New Post with a secure email address: http://4-79-67.blogspot.com/2009/01/secure-email.html

Sent an email to the address with what we've come up with so far

This was a very quick updating game that went quiet last week. Perhaps RL issues with the PM. Who knows...I'll give it one more week for something to happen.
