Here's my little thought for the day...

If the whole gamejack hadn't been outed in the sandbox thread, would people be so upset? What if we had just played the Clue game as though it was part of the "real" game, none the wiser? Solve the murder, catch the murderer, get our boarding passes and finally get our heinies on the island.

The problem for me was that I was becoming less enthused about the game, because the whole Clue thing was not the sort of thing I was actually interested in. I was thinking I'd just bail out of the game if that's all it was meant to be, and if it was the purpose of the game. I was still faced with a quandry when I appeared on one of the cards, and if I departed the game at that point, would I implode it in some fashion? Would I not become just someone that backed out of the game and become a game derailing jerk?

Now I don't feel any concern over ignoring the whole Clue thing - it's not a critical part of the whole affair at this point, so I can ignore it. It still does reduce my interest however, because it's become basically the overriding force of the game - and it's a player turning the game basically into 'their game'. At best it's just an episode which I'll have to endure while waiting for another episode more in my interest to come along. Since I know that the PMs are essentially letting us create what we wish, I may not have to wait to try starting up something of my own - unless of course certain forces decide that my ventures have less merit and decide to quash them.

Eh, in any case - I don't need to feel like I'm betraying anything by whatever I do.

Yeah, well - that was before we knew you'd effectively taken the steering wheel. For that matter, that was before we knew that anyone even had a solid hold on any steering wheel. Then it seemed like it was something being given to us by the PMs, and if I were to see what I could do with it I'd be the one taking the wheel, maybe at the expense of the PMs. But wait, it's not exactly the PMs...

Blah blah...

Now, I've basically been given carte blanche to go back to the other workings of WuF, with no qualms about putting Clue aside. It's my best way of discarding the confusions and getting back to the fun I was having.

Now, to go figure out how game tag lotteries work...
There are some VERY large spiders out there.

It's called NoSuchCard.jpg, so Mapmaker is out(or in), and same for the needle and cartography wing.

I tried the Emperor with a Pokémon on an airship. Cool

I got the same three blank cards as Greg and "Nice Theory. HAA!"

My try was :

Quote:
The Mayor with the can opener at the Gym.

To which I got this response:

I wonder what would happen if someone got one right?

OK! So I tried something different: Peter Gabriel in the Wal-Mart with the Shopping Cart. And as I'd expected, I got this in return:

Cartographer, in his office, with... That would be telling.

Heads!

Thus, I think this means that if you get the no-such-card image, that those people/places/weapons never had cards made for them and thus are not in contention. So I'm out of the running, as is the Emperor, because neither of us had cards made. (Same with the Compass Needle, my office, Pokémon, and the airship.) Note that this is the only way to get confirmation on all three being cleared - when you get a real card back, the other two are still under suspicion.

My guess was "Dr. Tesseract, with a hypodermic syringe, in the Pokemon Gym."

His reply:
"Want to play again?
HEADS!"

Also, his signature has changed...it reads ""Jack"-2, Sheriff-0. Catch me if you can."
