Doesn't work for me: no picture, no text, only sound. Rolling Eyes

Erzh translates from German to Archduke...

Archduke would be 'Erzherzog' in German. 'Erzh.' is only an abbreviation found in written text, not a self-contained word, so it's probably just a coincidence.

Can you explain further? I've played it many times in WMP - but only ever had the sound file of Norene. Very curious how you did it.

Maybe a "younger" Lyman?

I assume "D" is Daniel Cooper?

Fritz's new blog post confirms it's Lyman in the photo booba posted, but he also found a second image.

I think it might be this guy [from IMG_1872 of Wayne's Filestore] - no idea who "this guy" is however...lol

I mentioned before that the Swede mentioned in Wayne's hidden notes in the 432.pdf and killed by the BSAI and the Swede who was being sought by Yoon Young's father - are likely the same person. But I've also been thinking that this Swede has some sort of connection to Bjorn Aagesen [descendant of Helena of Stamfar Station - whom Norene believed may have been part of the Linian "Second Emergence].

Yesterday, I sent a short message to Lyman Emery, asking if the police had made any headway in their investigation of the break-in. I also asked if he could provide us with photos or a list of the items taken. I hinted that maybe we could help in the recovery of the items, or figure out who took them. He didn't send any photos, but I got this reply.

Lyman wrote:
Unfortunately the police have no leads whatsoever. I was sad to see my laptop go. I had just purchased it. What I was most upset about were some items given to me by an old friend. Items of sentimental value. An old, heavy lamp and a framed reproduction of a Nansen drawing. I can't imagine why a burglar would want these things. They couldn't be worth more than $50 together.

How much do we want to tell him? Should I send him a copy of the tape from Wayne Moon's hidden files?

*ETA Branford Littleton updated his FB account...

The search goes on. No leads yet. I have to admit I'm a little anxious to get back. But I understand the importance of the mission. We shall not fail. No matter how long it takes, we will find our man.

Fridtjof Nansen was quite the explorer and artist.

I was trying to find a picture of him similar to the picture Trillain posted here, to compare the two. I'm thinking the picture from the "TimeModel-Flash", may be Nansen. Maybe Moon's way of hinting at the importance of Nansen's drawing, in Lyman possession.

Sorry for the double post, but Fritz has updated his blog again.

Fritz wrote:
Has The Time Come
From Enaxor:
"I contacted Lyman yesterday and inquired about the items taken during the break-in last month. Besides the laptop, Lyman said a couple of other items taken were an "old heavy lamp" and "a framed reproduction of a Nansen drawing". They were items given to him by an old friend.

Obviously, we know that old friend was Norene. I wonder if there was a drawing under that Nansen print, or maybe Norene hid something in the base of that old lamp. Wondering if Daniel Cooper has acquired a couple of new items."

Considering Norene's mention that she gave the items "to someone that will keep them safe, though unknowingly", I think you may be onto something. I've seen that lamp and drawing many many times. I knew they were dear to Lyman, but had no idea of their true importance. I can only hope that that they were taken by Daniel Cooper and not the Institute. Again, we need to approach this with caution.

If the plans and component were hidden in those items, and if Daniel does have them, he's going to be looking for a way to get them to Wayne. If we decide this is the best course of action, perhaps we can help. How seriously should we take Norene's warnings?

"I must hope that when the time comes, these materials will reveal themselves, but not sooner."
Has the time come?

I also wrote another note to Lyman, asking if the items came from Norene and was it possible that she hid something in one or both of the stolen items. I suggested that he might look at any other items he still has, if any.

He replied with:

Lyman wrote:
Yes, it was dear Norene that gave me the lamp and picture. What makes you think there may have been more there? Do you think that this was more than a random burglary?

*ETA Yoon Young has also posted an update on Fritz's blog...

Do I understand this correctly? Does he really suggest co-operating with Wayne and Daniel?

I think it highly likely that it is Nansen, given the tie-ins. I searched everywhere for that image to no avail... here's a great searchable image site for him:

http://www.nb.no/baser/nansen/english.html

I can't see how it could be anyone but him, he looks very similar. The only thing that niggles me is that in every picture I see of him, he looks so stern and his brow ridge seems even as opposed to the outer sloping we see in the TimeModel file. I did find this guy, in Nansen's files, whose bears a close resemblance as well [not closer, just close...lol] It's the eyebrows... he's a zoologist by the name of Jonas Collin and I'm guessing he worked with Nansen as he's in Nansen's files. However, there is no tie-in, and therefore no real reason for him to be hidden in that file. So my vote is Nansen. But here's Collin for comparison anyway, with Nansen below it.

ETA: The more I look at both comparisons, I'm convinced it's Nansen. But is the clothing right? Or do all these dudes from that era just look a lot aliike?...lol

So I couldn't stand to be idle any longer, and went ahead and emailed Daniel Cooper. I was a bit accusatory in my email about the break-in of Lyman's apartment. I asked him if he still had the stolen items. I'm afraid if Branford Littleton, gets a whiff of what's been going on, that the items will disappear forever, as well as Daniel Cooper. Sorry if I jumped the gun. I'll edit the post, if and when I get a reply.

Here's a copy of the email I sent.

enaxor wrote:
Mr. Cooper,

I'm sure you remember composing the following email I and several others received a few months ago:

"Applicants,
It has come to my attention that some of you have been using the materials I supplied to engage in unapproved research activities...

I'm afraid this irresponsible breach of trust cannot be tolerated.
I'm sure you'll understand that I am unable to extend the position to any of you at this time. I ask that you cease all activities related to the materials I supplied."

Ha! We were nothing more than mere pawns you used to obtain information. I guess for you, the means justify the ends. Unlike you, I prefer to cut to the chase. Do you still have the items you took from Lyman Emery's apartment? Please don't deny it, after careful consideration you appear to be the only person who had the means and especially the motive.

I'm sorry if my accusatory tone upsets you, but I think time is of the essence in this matter. The balls in your court, but please don't make me wait too long.

*ETA Daniel Cooper's reply:

Daniel Cooper wrote:
Ms. Olsen,
I fail to see how my admitting to any of these baseless accusations could possibly help my cause. I have only one goal at this point, and I doubt very much that you have any real understanding of the situation. I cannot imagine how you could be of any help in the matter.

Unless you have ideas to the contrary, our communication ends here.

Daniel Cooper
Minister of Information
The Society for Linian Studies

I did respond to him letting him know we may have a way to carry out his goal, which I'm assuming is getting the items to Wayne in the Antarctica. I'll let you know what he says.

Yeah, me too. Not really sure.
Didn't think of using itunes.

Lurkers love all the Cool Linian Studiers so want to chime in one time for tech support....

On newer versions of WMPlayer to see The_Erzh_Device extra text enable "Lyrics, Captions and Subtitles" in "Play" on the top menu bar. To see the extra picture choose "album art" as your "visualization" at "Now Playing" on the larger menu choices just below that. HTH

Can't tell you how much I appreciate this - there isn't anything worse for me than things niggling at my brain. I like everything placed in nice, tidy, little boxes. Smile
