 		I was the first one that specced placement on the visa clip..

Your order is perfect! It matches my order.txt (unreleased) exactly, except for one clip..I haven't read anything about DRT yet, or some of the other clips..but, I just feel there has to be 1 more clip between creamsicle and miracles. I put them together in cool edit pro but i didn't feel like it flowed right..but we'll see how the other clips come out.

I SPEC you are out of order. I think it should be: [[...the_human_heart...curious_girl...exclusive_license...good_at_my_job...awful_fast...?real?...creepy...]]

I also WILDSPEC that real is the most likely candidate (based on clip titles, I think the other cold axon's all fit in to other story arcs) for the missing clip between awful_fast and creepy.

Also, where good_at_my_job goes in the list is based on someone else's SPEC/transcript.

kahmal/hiro
I SPEC there is no clip between i_hate_you and tack_hammer.

The order as I see it is:

[[...cute_little_caps...pony_tail...][...freelance...bracelet...][...panic_button...?code_word?...][...blue_then_red...visa...my_family...shock_sticks...trigeminal...red...i_hate_you...tack_hammer...] ?raining_cops? ...dude]]

Visa is someone else's SPEC (but I've lost the link), and raining_cops is my SPEC based on the available clips. Freelance is my SPEC based on someone else's transcript of that clip. Edit: [SPEC] code_word comes after panic_button, which clearly goes between Aiden's visit to Kahmal's house (freelance...bracelet) and the dinner later that evening (blue_then_red ...->... tack_hammer) [/SPEC]

A bit of SPEC on my part, possibly ORIGINALSPEC (I did a search and read almost every post with the word Durga in it):

Has anyone else noticed that there are no short winds/rewinds in the Jersey/Durga story arc like in other story arcs? I SPEC this indicates that Jersey/Durga is the primary character in this story. This makes sense, since Melissa is attempting to contact her crew, and Durga is also an AI that was on something "larger" than Jersey's system. A link between the two is logical.

Lastly, I think the WILDSPEC about time travel is silly. I think the assumption that must be made is that we're supposed to be in the time of the story, not that the story went back in time. After all, if Melissa/Durga are AI's, and there are no AI's in the present time frame, then it makes more sense for us to "pretend we're in the future", than to "pretend we're interfacing with an AI from the future."

Occam's Razor and all that.

the placement of drt is SPEC based on the quote "drt" in the standard_procedure clip, where the stupid_cop says "drt." And based on the fact that standard_procedure does not have a wind sound, while creamsicle has a short rewind sound, indicating change of scene.

Also, I agree that there is a break in the flow of conversation between creamsicle and miracles, but the break was (to me) more of the stupid_cop ignoring Jan James, than an indication of a missing clip.

Plus, we're only missing:


  • real
  • code_word
  • raining_cops
  • drt


I've given my reasons for the order in the post you quoted in full. It will be updated as more information becomes available (instead of re-posting it regularly, I'll just post links like this.)

 		Huh. Okay, trout me if you must, but it sounds like Aiden really was only trying to rattle Kamal instead of taking him out in revenge. I guess Aiden DOES want Kamal on his side.

Assuming that the trend continues, anyone want to start a pool on whether Aiden snookers Kamal into helping him out anyway?

Aiden will get Kahmal's assistance with cane or candy. (stick or carrot, if you prefer). First with the offer of helping Kahmal's family get to Earth, avoiding the visa delays, secondly by threatening him with the police.

Besides, as was indicated in good_at_my_job, Aiden only really wanted to test the merchandice (i.e., see how Kahmal acted under pressure.)

Um... I don't think so. The only time Durga is doing an impression is when she says "good at my job". The rest of the time, she's listening to Aiden talking to the cop, just as he is in exclusive license. Where are you getting any evidence that Durga is doing an impression of Aiden?

Really? To me it sounds like Durga's 'impression' later in the clip is of Stupid Cop, which she just took from his interview of Jan in the first batch (can't remember the clip name). It's just before Jan's father comes in, during her PQI.

I would like to pint out that there is no 'h' in Kamal. I have a few Indian friends, some of whom share that name.
{as a side note it's actually pronounced Kumuli in Gujerati}

If you re-read the clip transcript for exclusive_license, Durga was playing a clip of Aiden talking to a police officer. When Jersey inquires, she defines police officer for Jersey. The beginning of good_at_my_job continues that sound clip that Durga was playing. So... exclusive_license -> good_at_my_job

Although [SPEC] I think it will become important later in the story that Durga can imitate real people [/SPEC].

I disagree with this. The only impression Durga does is the stupid cop, and it's just an audio clip from the previous CP session.
