[PUZZLE] "Derez" page We honestly have no idea what to do with this page yet, but here 'tis.
http://www.flynnlives.com/derez/
Viewing source, the only thing I can gather is that the "code" is less than 20 characters long.
Beyond that, it's all server-side logic and the page is pretty bare bone.

So far http://tron.wikibruce.com/Derez
Some people think that the site will be used for more things, I personally am doubtful.

Well I myself am admittedly optimistic because, as far as I can tell, the original codes don't work anymore, implying that there must be a new set of codes we're simply not aware of yet.

i noticed that earlier as well. i still think a new site is more likely to spring from the numbered cards on zerohour but the removal of old codes gives derez some merit.

Not too long ago the old codes did work, and as noted in this post they were filled in, then they didn't work. I used the that Google cache page about the time of that post and it was working for me, still filling them in automatically and directing me to the trailer page. If they simply wanted to break the access to the trailer, I'd expect them to just take the page away - not make it dysfunctional. As someone noted before, 42E is reputed as not tormenting it's players.

I posted this in the Light Cycles thread, but I think its worth noting.
I think that /derez doesn't have anything to do with those pics/codes, seeing as how /derez is made by the fans trying to find him, and the light cycles are supposedly from Flynn himself.
I think /derez is just sitting and waiting there for when the FlynnLives people to give us another puzzle.

Ditto. I think this is just some reset that even if they *are* using it at a later date again, we have no idea when or how.

Yeah, unless I see otherwise, I'd have to agree with you, man.

Reindeer Floatilla It seemed to me that no one has done anything with the quotes from the original derez puzzle. Why have them, if not as a clue? I looked up Richard Brautigan, mentioned in the last quote, as related on Bruce's wiki http://tron.wikibruce.com/Derez and came up with this http://www.brautigan.net/machines.html Which, if you go to the actual poem mentioned, you'll see one of the reprints looks like this: http://www.brautigan.net/graphics/machines/machines-computer.jpg
Please note, that as stated at the top of the "machines" page, these materials are meant to be freely distributed.
I don't know if this is just fun and games, or if there is deeper meaning to be had with these quotes.

Yep, this puzzle led to the VFX Test Footage from Comic-Con. You can read all about it here:

That site is an all around useful resource for keeping caught up with the ARG.
