10/22 - 10/25: Packages from Peeps

10/22:
Tutu answered Trinkets LJ entry giving the name of the babysitter as Mrs Sprague (is this a little shout out to Dave S??? � who's main character in both Chasing & Catching the Wish is Dale Sprague).

Betty tells us that she & Barney had run into a singing nun in Santa Monica and were meeting her in NYC when the van showed up that snatched him. She started looking for a video in Barney's storage unit but in three days hasn't posted it yet.

NeddLudd is looney tunes. Psyche! (the new Sammeeeees catchphrase it seems). He tells us that he met Patricia Moore but it doesn't seem like anything happened. He does give us the coordinates of a Spoocheeeee "place of power". One of the five places in the world is the Mouse's Tank in the Valley of Fire State Park.

Peeps tells us this is the most wanted White Rose and he was behind the assassination of the preceeding Mr Alan Johnson so he is very wanted by Spoocheeeee. He also tells us that the messages in the packages were from the Tall Man who has been "dismissed from his communication duties until Patricia Moore has completed her report on him."

Betty suggested a means to select the Sammeeeee designated to hold the ceramic pieces (if we find them) and how to do it without Spoocheeeee finding out. Send Peeps your "Vote for the Keeper" in email (secret ballot).

Meanwhile, Mr Alan Johnson appears to be taunting us with a notification in his MySpace blog that he got one of his boxes back with a mysterious message:

Keely reports that Patricia Moore, at gun point, took a book from Bob's desk (where were we suppose to know we were looking for a book???? We kept asking Keely to find a piece of ceramics or a key). Patricia tells Red that she has the book and "IT IS SAFE". It's a copy of "The Day He Died" (see WR1 Gabcast profile page).

But it gets scarier. Mr Alan Johnson shows up today, pulling hair. Fortunately, quick-witted Keely does not describe Patricia, but by telling Mr AJ the "woman had blond hair" implicates Betty!!! Appears Mr AJ may be sending jackals to NYC.

This appears to be something that TuTu (Trinket's sister) posted recently. Seems Miss Trinket is suppose to be on some medications (another mental issue?) and TuTu was handed a pink card with the same phone number that Ben told us Cathy Kuttner left on Happy's answering machine just before he & Aunt Jayne were nabbed. Could TuTu be the next kidnap victim of the Spoocheeeees?

10/26 - Cathy has a safe email, Mr AJ reveals the WR Gang
- Addison is on the weekly Five Video

Keely appears safe. Police didn't buy her story but at least Spoocheeeee has left her alone. She described Bob(Addison)'s life as a "train wreck".

Betty gives us the hint to keep looking for anagrams for HACK LARDER MIND. We started looking for names and then Mr AJ sent danteIL to http://cheerstothursdayevenings.blogspot.com/ the answer was there in front of us: http://mildredharnack.blogspot.com/

In the source code the Base 64 decodes to a paragraph from the History of Beverly Hills, about the peaceful natives of the region, the Tongva tribe.

Mr AJ attempts to explain the White Rose group as disgruntled former Otis employees who all just happened to have a past history of mental hospitalization 4 years prior to employment. He claims that Betty has something that is the property of Otis Elevator (he thinks she has the book from Bob's desk, but really Patricia Moore has the book).

Nedd's cryptic clues and our dogged persistence (posting our questions/comments in YouTube allowed for public response!!!) finally led to the secret message that Patricia Moore hid in the audio track of WR2's surfer movies: cathykuttnerSPLATbluebottle.com (thanks cem!!!)

Tall Man (Timothy Mann) is under serious suspicion by Mr AJ but Peeps dispatches Jean Moulin to help.

Red Hatty's loyalty to Spoocheeeee was also questioned (and this led to an interesting META discussion) but in the end, Mr AJ pledged his admiration, explained TM's duplicity, and warned her that any package she receives would be inappropriate.

It's Thursday night trivia from Mr AJ. He sends us back to Monsier Alan Johnson's YouTube for a game which leads us to http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=adewittallabouteve
Poor Addison is losing it (and it looks like they haven't been given decent toiletries either, he needs a shave � good continuity by the PMs!!). He tries to strike a deal with Mr AJ but also insists that Dwin (aka Kevin) is set free. He also mentions Higg's reporter friend (danteIL finds previous references to "Tamara" having video taped the cemetery mission).

Summary of our instructions for contacting White Roses when we have the ceremaic pieces:
Contact WR1 via the gabcast after the first piece is found (Dick White, a former Spoocheeeee leader).
Mildred Harnack will know when we are ready (after the second or fourth piece is found)?
Come for Jean Moulin when we have the third piece.
There should be one more (maybe that is the clue in Red's package??)
WR2 is Nedd Ludd � we've already had contact with him and nothing has been said about any ceramic piece yet.
WR3 was Jennifer Nelson, deceased. She helped Barney find the first piece.

So far Mr AJ has reported to Red that Patricia is loyal to him and if anyone is suspicious of her activities, it is because she is playing double agent on his behalf. Meanwhile, she promises to get pictures of the book pages to us somehow.

Red got her package and her Tshirt. It leads us to Addison's blog. Seems the poor man lost his wife and two kids before Peeps recruited him to be a Sammeeeee. On the profile page:

Wendy found Barney's video and posted it on a YouTube account.
A singing and dancing nun with her spelling out "the key". After some brainstorming in chat and this thread, and the solve of the book pages (see above); it turns out that one word in the song was redubbed GRAVES and the nun spelled out WOODLAWN.

So ELKINS probably meant "IN ELKS" which is a section in the cemetery that is just across the street from the mausoleum where Henry Kuttner's name plate was photographed. SPEC: Barney took the pictures on the roll of film that Ben found in Happy's stuff and posted. [edit to add, we were wrong here, see below]

Since we didn't know if Randomeis could go back to Santa Monica, and Mr Alan Johnson is on his way to NYC (probably in search of Betty because Mr AJ thinks that Betty has the book that Barney hid in Bob's drawer) we've asked Cathy if she would go. She has been sent photos of the cemetery & the mausoleum and told to start looking by the palm trees just across the street from the mausoleum as seen in the photo posted by Ben. We've also asked Nedd to go or get one of the other White Roses to help her. She mentioned video taping the excursion. Sunday could be a big day!

EDIT: However, turns out we weren't done yet. Good thing our plans were BCC'd to Peeps. A couple of emails back to konamouse and we were back on track. "Secret word is Elkins" turned out to be another blogspot(thanks enaxor!!) with a coded message in the source. Cathy has been given further instructions that involved sending a "date and time" to HenryKuttnerSPLATyahoo.com. Meanwhile, Peeps wants Jean Moulin & Timothy Mann to go with Cathy to the cemetery. Tim's wildmail account is no longer appropriate. Messages can be found in the comments on WR2's blog "The World is Ours".

10/29 - The Day of the Disc

After some intense emails back and forth setting this up: The first disc piece is found.
Randomeis & company ventured out to the cemetery but were both too early (got some great pictures and mapped out their route) and too late (they returned after lunch to find flowers on the stone and the piece had already been retrieved).

Cathy & Tall Man are on video following the instructions of Henry Kuttner (who was identified as the senile 95 yo Spoocheeeee elder of Cathy, living in the Holiday Villa Assisted Living facility � SPEC: he's one of the elders who has died and someone else was using his name).

The disc is covered in Linear B writing.It will be delivered to Randomeis today for safe keeping.

Cathy's bluebottle email has been compromised. She will be deleting the account and work on another means to contact us. Mr AJ says she is still a loyal Spoocheeeee

If you locate the twins, be cautious when dealing with them. My only advice to you is to look closely at Happy Rogers. Relatively uneventful day - unless you count the 200+ visitors demanding candy at Fireball's door (and the jerks who egged it after the lights were out for the night).
The Singing Nun still hasn't visited Randomeis.
Nedd emails have us banging our heads against the keyboard. TWINZ!

Oh, yeah, Mr Alan Johnson has notified DanteIL that he has Betty. He thought she had the book, now he thinks *we* have the book and demanded Peeps get us to turn it over, NOW!

A comment was left on the Sammeeeees.blogspot that appeared to be from Trinket's sister, Tutu. But it is known that anyone can post in the blog and we had no way to know if this was legitimate (since the PMs had not used AIM after one month into the game). Fortunately, an update in leavemealonetrinket.blogspot assured us that there would NOT be any AIM chat � that the blog comments were NOT from the real Tutu.

Dante's quest to watch the 2mingood video continues. Mr AJ may be trying to recruit Red Hattyto Spoocheeeeee now.

Wendy let us know that she got a call from Betty "They let me go" from a pay phone in the South Staten Island Ferry terminal (caterpillar identified it as the phone "to the left of stairs at the top of staircase, on the NYC side"). [Are we a great bunch of detectives or what???]

Mr AJ will be sending the book to danteIL to decode; he wants to know what it says. At this time, we're not ready to tell him. Meanwhile, Mr AJ has extended his stay in New York and may have changed his mind about releasing Betty.

Cathy/Patricia figured out how to post pictures of the book pages on flickr.

Immediately Nedd was sent this information and shortly afterwards, he posted a video and then the map to the TWINZ.

Late in the day, Cathy/Patricia posted more book pages. Mapmaker is working on the Linear B on the last pages of the book and has found

Chat discussion about "what will the White Roses do with the disc once all the pieces are assembled" led us to question them directly on The World Is Our blog.

If we possess the disc we can demand that Mr. Alan Johnson release our friends. It is a large bargaining chip for us and honestly the only one that would actually give us this sort of power over Mr. Johnson and Spoocheeeee. And once they are free, it is our job to figure out and to perform the ancient ceremony in reverse at one of the sacred places. (This is the reason for keeping all the pieces with one person). This will end forever the power of Spoocheeeee. After this ceremony we can then destroy the disc so that the people will forever more be free from any sort of "Spoocheeeee-like" rule. I would suggest (after the cermony) sending the pieces to our various Sammeeeees around the globe and at a selected time, we crush the pieces. That might make an nice ending to this journey that we are on together.

The blog source had a coded phrase that translated from German to "For the ones they are in darkness, and the others are in light. And you see the ones in brightness. Those in darkness drop from sight" and is from the Threepenny Opera by Brecht. It can also be found in the song "Mack the Knife" These are clues to pages found the next day.

Nedd posted pictures of the second disc, but now the sight has been removed (at the suggestion of some Sammeeeees) to keep the information away from Mr Alan Johnson. Fortunately, we have them in the thread.

In the past week, Betty was captured by Spoocheeeee, tortured by Mr Abbott (and Mr Alan Johnson) in an attempt to get their hands on "the book" but then mysteriously let go. She allegedly contacted Wendy twice, was allegedly accosted by a short man in a white suit at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal but rescued by unidentified dock workers (from Governor's Island????), may or may not have left Wendy a note to meet her at the Terminal (Betty was not there, but a dead Dr Kinder all cut up was found).

Meanwhile, we find out that Betty is traveling back to California.

There has been concern that she might be under Spoocheeeee control and this has been discussed with Peeps.

He agreed that it would be a good idea to try to get in contact with Ben's Aunt Jayne. He helped us with Mr Alan Johnson's Thursday night trivia (Dwin was the first Sammeeeee contacted by Peeps) and let us know that only 1 person knows his whereabouts (and it isn't Betty).

Mr Alan Johnson has been a busy man. After killing Dr. Kinder, he had time to flirt with enaxor (who has been trading emails as "Ima"; with cute references to different James Bond movies), flirting with Chixor (telling her she has "spunk") and flirting with "the ravishing Aunt Jayne" (asking her to change her name to "Ima"???).

It's Trivia night for Sammeeeees again. This one took 3 hours. We had the answers but couldn't figure out how to put them in order to find the YouTube until Patricia Moore threw in a hint in the source code.

Poor Higgs. He really needs a beer (both chixor & konamouse are eager to volunteer).

Higgs was very happy to get the beer and told us he had been working with Jean Moulin to find piece #4. His friend, Tamara, will help also, we must find her (this was the videographer following him on the day they were nabbed; he mentioned her in the video and in the MySpace comments).
Addison isn't talking to anyone but Dwin.
Dwin started to say something about piece #5 but then Ben had to leave.

Betty is traveling towards California. She complains about being stuck with non-smokers and blaming French sailors for her desire to curse.

Betty gives us more evidence that she's corrupt. Now she wants Nedd's email; maybe thinking meeting with him can lead her to Peeps � or is it a way for Spoocheeeee to capture or kill another White Rose???

Contact has been re-established with Keely (Addison's assistant at his Media company).
Benjamine Williams was her great grandfather (IRL Elbert Benjamine was Benjamine Williams before he changed his name). There is no ceramic disc piece in the home. Greatgrandfather was cremated and scattered around the garden.

Jetamo got his package but other than a small scan of a pink star, he hasn't posted any information. Fortunately, A Lady Who Drowned contacted Mildred and we found the emblem of the Brotherhood of Light on the blog. This leads to http://brotherhoodoffivelights.blogspot.com/

Based on suggestion from chat and posted Cathy has been encouraged to make sure Patricia Moore "gets along" with Mr Alan Johnson, to avoid any suspicions. Also on a suggestion from chat, she should be told about Enaxor's tickling him with "Ima Spoocheeeee" that started back here. If Cathy knows about Ima, Patricia can use that as a cover, claiming to be "Ima" since Mr AJ seems so smitten with her.

11/15 - Did we get #3? Flirting with Mr AJ is dangerous.

Chixor shared her recent emails with Peeps regarding the Batty Betty situation. Time to get Betty to stop smoking and maybe that will change her mental attitude (but even if that happens, we can't trust her until Spoocheeeee is overthrown).

Meanwhile, Peeps suggested that LadyLovelylocks set up a fake email to contact Betty and he will provide her with the conversation. META: This is a good plot point that let's us, the players, eavesdrop on the character interaction.

Jet posted his Peeps Package information. He sought clarification from Tall Man.

Chixor has gone from taunting Mr Alan Johnson and wearing a tin hat, to FLIRTING with him (she wants to picture him looking like a Sean Connery from "Entrapement").

Katya is the latest recipient of a Peeps Package. Now a member of the Tshirt club. She uploaded pictures on flickr and shared the resulting new blog: http://paulfoucher.blogspot.com/ It's blank right now since he is the elder with Piece #4 (we have to get #3 before Jean Moulin will start working with us).

Dante got "The Day He Died" book from Mr Alan Johnson. Seems our homicidal Spoocheeeee leader added a creepy coded message.
