So, bad news about the Queen City Poolhouse from Entry #13, guys.

I remember reading in the past that the city of Tuscaloosa has been planning for years to convert that old poolhouse into a museum (about trains, IIRC). Well, low and behold, Google Earth has updated the satellite image recently.

Bad news... they're already underway with the construction, and pretty far into it by the looks of things. I attached a picture with before/after screens.

This means that we won't ever have another Entry at that site, which (as implied by Troy in an interview) was also the site of the creepy basement seen when Seth was attacked and when Jay was teleporting. Two really creepy locations that (IMO) played a big role in the effect of the series.

Rest in peace, sweet prince... er... Queen. Sad

Ohmygod, I totally knew it was in there. Like, I was telling my friends and they didn't believe me but I KNEW IT.
(Basements don't have two stories.)

Sorry. Majorly off topic, and it's sad to see the site go. I'm just reveling in my mini-victory over here.

J walks to the house but then falls on his knee's and looks in disbelief.

J: No we where so close. Damn you, Damn you all to Hell!

Zoom out to reveal construction on House of Doom.

This is sort of location-related, and I'd rather post in an extant thread with my first post than create a new one, so here goes...

I've been lurking for a while. Just a few minutes ago, I can't remember precisely what led me there, but a chain of spec in recent threads led me back to the thread for Entry 25, the apartment fire video. I read through to the point where the source footage for the daytime report was found, and when I watched it (with 2000+ Youtube views, 10 likes, and a comments section full of MH-related jokes) I noticed that the thumbnail for one of the related videos in the sidebar kind of looked like the night "home video" footage from 25. I checked it, and I'm now 98% positive it's that footage. I didn't think this was much of a "find" at first, figured it was probably really old news, particularly since it showed up as a related video, but the video in question shows only 738 views, it has no comments at all (and not because comments are closed), no likes or dislikes, and, critically, goes completely unmentioned in the original 25 thread.

Now, chances are somebody posted a thread on this between 25 and now, but I can't seem to find one with the search function, so I'm sharing: The source of 25's nighttime footage.

Incidentally, this completely confirms crowd!Operator as being a tree in the original footage, though I'm certain the relative darkness of the figure in Entry 25 and the timing of the video tearing was supposed to give the impression that it was him.

I don't know how wholly unintentional this was, but it's in Ark City.

Ark City.

Not even right.

I found these in the Inquiry thread.

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=33.268223,-87.527819&spn=0.021673,0.038581&sll=33.139534,-87.55863&sspn=0.312419,0.251999&t=h&z=15

It's Munny Sokol Park, aka Rosswood Park.

This is the location of 39 and part of 27.

Anyone who knows the coordinates to the tunnel, it would be so ridiculously appreciated.

Not sure if possible. I guess you would not be able to see it in Google Maps.

Marble Hornets Set Locations

I know theres already a thread sort of like this so please dont flame me for posting a new one, I figured this would be easier than trying to get more people to post in the old one.

So me and my friend decided that for spring break we are going to go to Tuscaloosa Alabama to visit different Marble Hornets filming locations. So we were wondering if anyone knew where a good bit of them are or if people could help us find them. It would be much appreciated!

I just found the hotel last night, so I'll just quote over the post from the other topic...

Foood wrote:
So I was watching Entry #26, and I noticed that when Jay looks out the window, it's night and there are buildings across the street. I noticed, "hmmm, those buildings look familiar." It turns out they're the same buildings that are across the street from the hotel in Season 2, as seen in Entry 27 and Entry 52. So the hotel at the beginning of #26 is the same one used in Season 2.

From this, I thought "hey, one of the places across the street looks like a car dealership. I wonder if I can use this to find the hotel in Tuscaloosa that they used in Season 2?" And so I went on Google Maps, typed in "car dealerships", and found one with a picture of the front of it, which matched the facade of the one seen in the entries.

And across the street... is the hotel.

Jay: "Meet me at the hotel on SKYLAND AND MACFARLAND"

Also, Rosswood Park is Munny Sokol Park, but I don't know if that includes the tunnel or not. 'Pretty sure that the chimney and the barn are not part of the park either.

Other people have found the red tower, and where the building that Seth "died" in used to be, but I dunno where they are myself.

If you go to AL, would you be so kind and take photos of locations like what the Breaking Bad Locations project has done? Very Happy

This is why you should read the first post:

On-Topic: The building that Seth "died" in was the Queen City Pool House. It was recently renovated into a train museum or something, so don't bother looking for it.
