Unfiction is 3!

I just noticed that we missed (by a day!) Unfictions third birthday (going by the date Spacely first registered), so I thought I'd post to say Happy Birthday to everyones favourite site Wink

Here's my present: Pony?!

This calls for a walk down memory lane.

And now this Unforum, being primarily oriented to the genre, has become the primary orientation of the genre. A well deserved and highly commendable achievement.

Better things indeed. More than 7500 registered users, and still going strong.

Well we've certainly had our fair share of false alarms, disappointments, shills, implosions, and misunderstandings. But we survived, and we also had many amazing ARG experiences, and no matter how many bad attempts surface around here, we stick around because we know that the highlights of what we have been through are just a small indicator of the great experiences coming our way.

It's nice to see that ARGFest has grown and how it started. It's also nice to see that we still have Wet T-Shirt Contests.

Thank you, SpaceBass, and thanks to all the moderators and supporters who are making these forums work.

The donation button is right there at the footer of this page. I think a 3 year anniversary is the perfect opportunity to say thank you, by giving a little something back to support a community that never asked for anything in return.

It's been an amazing ride, and I'm glad to be part of this community.

Happy Birthday Unfiction. Congratulations, and Thank You.

Wow. I knew, in my head, that the anniversary was coming up, but with everything that is happening at home and school, it totally slipped my mind.

I guess, then, that this is an opportune time to state, for the record, that I have never been prouder to know individuals than those I know through UF. I've always felt that UF has existed as a 'safe haven' for all those who want to take the chance on an ARG, and from the first day three years ago, I really do feel that the community has embraced UF as their primary ARG resource.

We have not arrived at this particular place in time without some hard work and struggle. I am happy to consider myself in the small group of ARGonauts who genuinely care about the perpetuation of not only UF, but the genre as a whole. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of people just like me who feel the same way about these games we play and this space that we talk about them. The efforts of those who have worked tirelessly on creating and maintaining games and resources in the ARG genre have led us to this period of time where ARG is really starting to take off in a big way.

My hope for UF is that it continues to be a wonderful resource and meeting place for all ARG players. I see fresh new faces everytime I log in, and I know that they have come to a very diverse, understanding community. Good luck to UF for the many, many years to come!

Happy UnBirthday!

I love unfiction. The unforum is *officially* the coolest place on the Internet, with the smartest, funniest, most imaginative people on the planet.

Thank you to everyone who makes it possible, especially you, Spacely. You, quite simply, rock.

How wonderful that this has become *THE* place to play ARGs. May it live on for many more unBirthdays to come.

I can't say much that hasn't already been said above. Except that I'm glad to have stumbled upon this place when I did. I'm frequently reminded when I visit other message boards of what a patient, open, smart, understanding and great bunch of people UFers are. Happy unBirthday!

Screw you all. This place sucks donkey.

Just kiddin.

I concur with EVERYONE thus far (however, Little Pink Mascot would so NOT make a good band name, Krystyn... ah, youth... Laughing )

Anyway, I have never found such an accepting, close-knit group on the internet yet, and doubt I will after. The way we all work together to make the community work better, the games play smoother, and to entertain each other is amazing, and awesome.

Thanks to SpaceBass and the founders, and to each and every one of you that I see here all the time, and also to the new people who make the place better and better with each new entry!

Happy Birthday, UF!

In all my wanderings on the net, and there are quite a few, I've never graced a board quite like Unf. Not just in content, but in attitude and people. You'd -never- see this board on Fandom Wank. I've not seen a single flamer. And, gasp, it's really newb friendly. An internet anomaly to be certain.

Lets hope we stay different for a good long time.

Oooooooh. Thiiiiiiiiiiiss. Is your birthday song, it isn't very long. HEY!
